Dry Season

Unlike in the four seasons in North America, we have two main season- rainy and dry.
We have entered the dry season, and we are about half way through.
Living in the rain forest, dry season is different than in other areas.
We still have some rain, but it is dry by comparison- and extremely hot.
The air stays humid, and we get rain once or twice a week until the end of the season, when we might go two or three weeks without rain.
The view from the bridge I bike across a few times a week.
The left side shows the river overflowing its banks, making the surrounding areas marshy and swampy.  It creates small temporary lakes.
The right side shows the water levels now.  The grass is still green where the water has subsided.

This is the view from the other side of the bridge.
The top pictures show the rainy season, and the bottom pictures show the same scenes now.
