“For the life of the flesh is in the blood” Lev 17:11
From the moment we arrived in Congo the truth that moses knew thousands of years ago, that “life is in the blood” has become very clear. When we arrived here on the very first day I was able to give blood for two children with malaria. Ive learned the term “a walking blood bank” which is really just a pleasant way of saying: everyone that is walking around is your blood bank. So any time blood is needed we fan out in search of donors, often people who work at the hospital and relatives of the family.
